Church of St Francis of Assisi

I was diagnosed with pituitary gland tumour in 2010 and I was certain that I was going to die. However in my ordeal, I could feel God’s presence and his love for me. I survived.

This started my journey of rediscovering my faith. As a cradle Catholic, my knowledge and faith was shallow. I knew the bare minimum of my faith and did not have a relationship with God.

In 2011, I attended a silent retreat.

In 2012, the loss of my father and family conflicts, led me to isolate myself again. There was internal conflict. I was angry and frustrated but I knew God was there. "Remain faithful to me," and "Reconciliation" from scriptures comforted me.

In early 2013, I attended A Biblical Walk Through The Mass and other  formation programs. The word “Community” was very clear to me. I believe the Holy Spirit is leading me in my journey.

I realized that no man is an island and we need our fellow sisters and brothers to journey with us.

The road is not easy but with God, we can do all things through him who strengthens us. (Phil 4:13).
